Junior Section

Introduction:

PTC’s juvenile section was set up in June 2025. This first year 2025 is being run as a pilot scheme for members children or by members personal referrals of eg nieces/nephews or local juveniles who already participate in triathlon events.  Children are eligible if they are born in 2016 (turning 9 years in 2025) and older children. During this pilot we will not have the opportunity to teach children swimming so they must be able to swim short distances unaided and have attended swimming lessons.

We plan to run some training sessions in June and July 2025 and will have a presence at Skerries and Two Provinces junior triathlons.

We plan to evaluate the progress of this pilot scheme thereafter and hopefully into 2026 where we may be in a position to expand.
